Local Hero: Theresa Lowder

Theresa has led a performing folk dance group made up of teens from our local community, for nearly 30 years. Through their practices, performances, and amazing trips (Spain, Fiji, Denmark, etc,) she has taught them much more than how to dance well - she has taught them how to live well.

The hours Theresa spends scheduling practices and performances, designing and building costumes, planning repertoire, booking tours, and opening her home to dancers and their families, are completely volunteer. If we had more people like Theresa, we would be a lot less worried about our teenagers! And the world would be a better, brighter place for all of us.
